Lo studio Vector Architects, fondato da Gong Dong nel 2008, ha sempre dato priorità al rapporto tra l’opera costruita e il suo contesto, dalle coste alle montagne fino al cuore della città, studiando punti di riferimento naturali e artificiali alla ricerca di spunti su come affrontare al meglio le esigenze di ogni progetto. E sebbene lo studio non sia nuovo a soluzioni audaci, un’opera recente come il Jingyang Camphor Court sembra quasi ritirarsi dalla vista, integrandosi nel tessuto urbano fino a diventare un tutt’uno inscindibile con l’ambiente circostante.
